Things to Do In
Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge
If you're into the outdoors, then you're going to love the Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge spans over 15,000 acres of forests, wetlands, agricultural land and facilities. Lying along the Little Red River near the Hurricane Lake State Wildlife Management Area, it was opened in 1993 to protect and provide refuge for migratory waterfowl and birds like bald eagles, especially during winter. The refuge is also open for waterfowl, deer, and small game hunting in designated areas and at specified times/seasons. You can go boating or fishing on the river for some crappie and bass. Trek the different areas around the refuge and enjoy the lush green and hardwood forests, gushing lakes, and unspoiled wetlands. Enjoy the natural sights at Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge!
Bald Knob Lake
Get ready to set your anglers and catch a variety of fresh bass, crappie, brim and catfish! About two miles north of the City of Bald Knob, you can find the scenic Blad Knob Lake. This fantastic 217-acre area opened to the public in 1960 and offers terrific hunting and fishing opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. State regulations allow only up to 10-hp boats or less with an available boat ramp guests can use. Though the lake does not allow swimming, you can enjoy the beautiful views of the lake, especially during the sunset. Some features to mention include a brand new handicapped accessible fishing pier, boat ramp and the Lakeview Park!
Bald Knob Country Club
Swing those golf clubs and enjoy a beautiful fairway that spans more than 3,000 yards! The Bald Knob Country Club opened in 1952 and has since presented tough but friendly challenges, just right for any golfer to level up their golfing skills. The staff is ready to help you with any questions or problems and is even prepared with tips to improve your game. Enjoy hours of great golf games on the well-groomed fairways and lush greens that feature 9-holes forming a 36-par golf course.
Annual Bald Knob HomeFest Festival
