On Saturday, May 10 at 2:00 PM, the White County Historical Society will host a deeply meaningful event at the Bald Knob Train Depot—a dedication of six newly installed historical markers, gifted by the estate of the late Janet Clark.

Janet Clark, a passionate advocate for preserving Bald Knob’s heritage, thoughtfully selected these six locations for permanent recognition. Her generous gift will help future generations understand and appreciate the rich story of this community. Each marker is not only a symbol of history but a tribute to her deep love for Bald Knob and its people.
Locations to be Honored:
Strawberry Sheds
Train Depot
Methodist Church
Catholic Church
Grayson Home
Bald Knob Big Rock
These six sites were carefully chosen by Janet before her passing—each one representing a unique piece of the town's history and its role in shaping local identity.
The dedication ceremony will take place at the Bald Knob Train Depot located at 400 Market Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and join in this special moment of remembrance and recognition.
This event is not just for history enthusiasts—it's for anyone who knew and loved Janet Clark, or who will be touched by her thoughtful legacy. Her contribution is a gift to the entire community and a reminder that history lives on when we choose to honor it.
