Bald Knob Public Schools has announced that it will not transition to a 4-day school week for the 2025-2026 school year. While there was strong community support for the idea, uncertainty surrounding proposed state legislation and approval requirements made it difficult to move forward at this time.

Why Stay With a Traditional Schedule?
The district recognizes the importance of long-term stability for students, staff, and families. With state regulations still unclear, the best decision for the upcoming school year is to maintain the current school calendar structure.
Will the 4-Day Week Be Considered in the Future?
While it will not be implemented next year, the district may revisit the idea in the future if circumstances change.
What’s Next?
Faculty, staff, and the school board will vote on the official school calendar later this month. Updates will be shared once a decision is finalized.
Thank You for Your Input
Bald Knob Public Schools appreciates the community’s participation in discussions and surveys throughout this process. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping decisions that impact our students and staff.
Stay tuned for further updates as the district finalizes next year’s calendar.
